Dr. Terence Palmer, PhD

Pioneer of Spirit Release Therapy (SRT) & Remote Spirit Release (RSR)
Dr. Terence Palmer (1947–2021) was a trailblazer in the study and practice of Spirit Release Therapy (SRT) and Remote Spirit Release (RSR), combining academic rigour with a deep understanding of spiritual science. Author of The Science of Spirit Possession, his work bridged psychical research, hypnotherapy, and controlled spirit communication, presenting a scientifically structured framework for investigating and resolving spirit attachments.
Based in South East Kent, UK, Dr. Palmer earned a degree in psychology from Canterbury Christ Church University, a Master’s degree in the study of mysticism and religious experience from the University of Kent, and a Doctorate from the University of Wales, Bangor. He was a member of the Scientific and Medical Network, the Society for Psychical Research, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He also held a diploma in medical hypnosis from the London College of Clinical Hypnosis and was trained in adjunctive hypnotherapy with the Royal Society of Medicine.
A passionate educator, Dr. Palmer travelled extensively, delivering lectures, stand-up talks, and conference presentations around the world. His audiences ranged from academic institutions such as the Society for Psychical Research, the Scientific and Medical Network, and the Royal Society of Medicine to grassroots spiritual communities. He developed a strong connection with Brazilian spiritualists, engaging with Spiritist centres inspired by Allan Kardec’s teachings and collaborating with practitioners in Brazil to exchange knowledge and refine techniques for spirit release.
His mission was global to raise awareness, train practitioners, and integrate spiritual science into mainstream understanding. This vision continues today through the Spirit Release Academy, led by Andy Porter and Jonno Webster, fulfilling Dr. Palmer’s dream of a worldwide network of RSR practitioners.
From 2011 to 2021, Dr. Palmer and Andy Porter, working with spirit guide “Chen” developed the RSR protocol, a safe, ethical method for clearing dark force entities, earthbound spirits, and energetic intrusions. In his final years, he also worked alongside Jonno Webster and spirit guide “White Hawk,”.
It was Dr. Palmer’s dream to create a worldwide network of RSR practitioners, a vision now carried forward by Andy Porter and Jonno Webster through the Spirit Release Academy, training practitioners worldwide using the Remote Spirit Release protocol and method he worked so diligently to create with Andy and his spirit guide “Chen”.
