Bridging Science and Spirit:
Insights from 1,000 Remote Spirit Release Cases
Spirit Release Therapy explores the hidden dynamics of human energy and consciousness. Through a global study of 1,000 Remote Spirit Release cases, Dr. Terence Palmer documents the unseen influences that affect emotional, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. This research opens a window into the world of energetic science and holistic healing.
Inside the RSR Research:
Real Results from 1,000 Remote Spirit Release Cases
Dr Terence Palmer PhD (1947 - 2021)
Dr. Terence Palmer (1947–2021) was a trailblazer in the study and practice of Spirit Release Therapy (SRT) and Remote Spirit Release (RSR), combining academic rigour with a deep understanding of spiritual science. Author of The Science of Spirit Possession, his work bridged psychical research, hypnotherapy, and controlled spirit communication, presenting a scientifically structured framework for investigating and resolving spirit attachments.
Between 2011 and 2021, Dr. Terence Palmer PhD and Psychic Surgeon Andy Porter documented over 1,000 live client cases. Working with a handful of exceptional spiritual mediums, including Psychic Surgeon and SRA co-founder Jonno Webster, providing compelling evidence for the efficacy of the Remote Spirit Release protocol was produced. These studies explored energetic imbalances, spirit attachments, and measurable frequency shifts following intervention.
The Objective
The objective was to test Remote Spirit Release's (RSR) efficacy, otherwise known as dis-obsession by Spiritist healers, to treat mental illness. Spirit release practitioners and Spiritists regularly apply this intervention method with variable degrees of success for people diagnosed with schizophrenia. However, it has not yet been subjected to rigorous scientific testing. Therefore, this project aimed to test the efficacy of the Remote Spirit Release (RSR) technique under controlled conditions for the first time.
The project’s pilot was initiated in 2018 in response to people requesting help for a loved one diagnosed with psychosis. Family members were concerned that their loved one was not responding well to traditional medical/psychiatric treatment and were requesting an alternative approach. It was found that many patients were adversely influenced by external agencies, including the earthbound spirits of the deceased that had attached themselves to the vulnerable host. Release of the earthbound spirits resulted in the cessation of auditory hallucinations and recovery from psychosis.
The initial results from Dr Palmer then led to the collection of one thousand reported suspected spirit possession cases.
Below you’ll find key diagrams illustrating the research, visual insights into the unseen dynamics of energy, consciousness, and healing transformation.

Overview of 1,000 Remote Spirit Release Cases
Global Reach
The geographic data shows a wide international distribution:
-
North America (48%) and the UK (31%) account for nearly 80% of all cases, reflecting the concentration of RSR practice within English-speaking populations.
-
Europe (13%), Asia (4%), and Australasia (3%) show smaller but growing representation, suggesting increasing international awareness of this methodology.
Demographics
-
Ethnicity: The majority (≈67%) identified as White Caucasian, with minority representation from Asian, African, Caribbean, and mixed backgrounds.
-
Age: Most participants were between 31 and 60 years old, aligning with the life stage associated with deep self-reflection, psychosocial stress, and spiritual seeking.
-
Religion:
-
Christian (31%) and No Religion (27%) were the most common groups, followed by smaller proportions of Muslim, Buddhist, Hindu, and “Other” faiths indicating that RSR attracts both religious and secular clients seeking integrative healing approaches.
-
Primary Causes of Energetic Imbalance
The main identified causes of energetic interference were:
-
Childhood trauma (17%)
-
Curse or black magic (16%)
-
Chemical influences (10%)
-
Negative emotions, sensitivity to spirit, and past life issues (6–7% each)
These results confirm that emotional trauma, energetic vulnerability, and environmental factors are leading contributors to spiritual imbalance.
Energetic Correlations
Inner Etheric + Grounding:
-
Only 47 individuals had fully clear etheric fields with balanced grounding.
-
Over 80% showed partial or missing grounding, often correlating with medium or severe etheric intrusion.
Chakras + Grounding:
-
Just 59 participants had fully open and aligned chakras.
-
389 showed partial closure, and 253 had complete chakra blockages frequently connected to trauma, fear, or suppressed energy flow.
Sovereignty + Grounding:
-
77 were classified as fully sovereign.
-
The remainder displayed partial sovereignty with varying grounding deficits confirming that energetic autonomy is closely linked to physical and emotional grounding.
Sovereignty + Inner Etheric:
-
Individuals with clear etheric fields were largely sovereign (56 cases).
-
As etheric intrusions increased, sovereignty sharply decreased, demonstrating a direct relationship between energetic contamination and loss of personal sovereignty.
Interpretation
The data illustrates a multidimensional picture of energetic disturbance, where trauma, grounding failure, and sovereignty loss interact dynamically.
Clients entering RSR work often display a combination of emotional wounding, disrupted energy systems, and vulnerability to external interference.
Implications for Practice
This overview highlights the need for an integrated therapeutic model that:
-
Addresses both energetic clearing and psychological healing.
-
Prioritises grounding and sovereignty restoration as fundamental steps in recovery.
-
Recognises the global and cross-cultural potential of spirit release work to inform the future of energy-based therapeutic research.

Figure 2 Cases By Medical Diagnosis
This integrated dataset analyses the relationship between medical or psychological symptoms, levels of sovereignty, and recommended aftercare or self-work within 1,000 Remote Spirit Release (RSR) cases, spanning multiple continents.
Geographic Context
Cases were reported across all major regions, with the majority originating from:
-
North America (48%) and UK (31%), followed by Europe (13%), indicating the strongest clinical engagement within English-speaking populations.
Personal and Sovereignty Correlations
The “Personal + Sovereignty” section categorises presenting symptoms or experiences alongside corresponding degrees of energetic sovereignty:
-
Highest incidence of energetic interference was recorded in cases involving:
-
Suspected possession (170 combined instances across DFE categories)
-
Curse or witchcraft (126)
-
Energetic intrusion (83)
-
Spiritual health check (207 total)
-
Challenging behaviour and sleep disturbance also featured notable energetic depletion.
-
-
Interpretation:
These findings suggest that reduced sovereignty (manifesting as Deep Field Entities or “DFEs”) often co-occurs with psychological and behavioural disturbances. The overlap between spiritual and emotional distress indicates that energetic vulnerability can amplify mental or physical symptoms, reinforcing the need for integrative therapeutic approaches.
Advice and Intervention Outcomes
The “Advice + Sovereignty” data demonstrates the most commonly prescribed follow-up recommendations for post-release integration:
-
Most frequent interventions:
-
Self-protection practices (348 mentions)
-
Positive thinking (176)
-
Therapy (145)
-
Learning self-love and family support (113 combined)
-
-
Interpretation:
Interventions focusing on self-responsibility, emotional regulation, and energetic awareness directly correlate with improved sovereignty outcomes. These reinforce that empowerment and education are essential to maintaining energetic integrity following spirit release work.
Thought Forms and Earthbound Spirits
Supporting metrics show:
-
64% of cases involved self-created thought forms or subpersonalities, echoing internalised energetic origins.
-
Earthbound spirit attachments:
-
1–5 entities: ~55% of cases
-
5+ entities: ~10%
-
None detected: ~35%
-
These figures highlight that the majority of clients experience some degree of external energetic attachment, yet often in tandem with self-generated thought forms.
Clinical Implications
The data collectively supports Dr. Palmer’s hypothesis that mental, emotional, and energetic health are deeply interconnected. Spirit Release interventions may complement conventional therapeutic approaches by addressing both energetic causation and psychospiritual rehabilitation.
Effective recovery is sustained through a combination of energy hygiene, sovereignty restoration, and psychological self-care.

Figure 3 Underlying Causes of Energetic Interference
This analysis categorises the primary causes of energetic interference identified across 1,000 Remote Spirit Release (RSR) cases, revealing a complex interplay between psychological, environmental, and spiritual influences.
-
Most Common Causes:
-
Childhood trauma: 170 cases
-
Curse or black magic: 165 cases
-
Chemical influence (e.g., substance use, medication, toxins): 102 cases
-
Negative emotions: 70 cases
-
Sensitivity to spirit: 68 cases
-
Past life issues: 61 cases
-
Out-of-body experiences (OBEs): 55 cases
-
-
Other Notable Categories:
-
Negative environments (24), Opportunistic energies (23), Self-created energies (23), Fear (19), Ill health (15), Occult practices (14), and Mental illness (10).
-
-
Interpretation:
The data highlights that emotional trauma and psychic vulnerability are the leading precursors to energetic imbalance or spirit attachment. A significant portion of cases (34%) stem from internal or experiential trauma (childhood, emotional, or psychological), while external energetic influences such as curses, black magic, or environmental energies represent another substantial proportion. The overlap between psychological and energetic causation underscores the mind–spirit connection, where emotional wounds or energetic openings create susceptibility to non-physical interference.
-
Implications for Practice:
Effective spirit release must address both energetic clearing and psychological integration, recognising that trauma healing and emotional regulation are foundational to maintaining spiritual sovereignty. These findings support a multidisciplinary approach, combining spiritual intervention with therapeutic awareness for sustainable outcomes.
Figure 4 Geographic Distribution of Remote Spirit Release Cases
This dataset illustrates the global reach of Remote Spirit Release (RSR) work, showing where the 1,000 analysed cases originated.
-
Geographic Distribution:
-
North America: 479 cases (48%)
-
United Kingdom: 310 cases (31%)
-
Europe (excluding UK): 126 cases (13%)
-
Australasia: 26 cases (3%)
-
Asia: 35 cases (4%)
-
South America: 11 cases (1%)
-
Africa: 13 cases (1%)
-
-
Interpretation:
The majority of RSR cases came from English-speaking regions, particularly North America and the UK, which together accounted for nearly 80% of all documented sessions. This concentration reflects both the historical origins of the practice and the current practitioner and client networks established through Dr. Palmer’s training and research collaborations. The smaller but notable presence of cases from Europe, Asia, and Australasia demonstrates a growing international awareness and adoption of spirit release methodologies beyond Western contexts.
-
Implications for Research and Outreach:
These findings highlight the global expansion potential of Spirit Release Therapy, suggesting future opportunities for cross-cultural research, multilingual training, and practitioner development in underrepresented regions. As the work continues to evolve, a broader international base will enhance the diversity and depth of clinical data available for future study.

Figure 5. Earthbound Spirit Attachments
This dataset analyses the occurrence of earthbound spirit attachments disincarnate human consciousnesses that have failed to transition fully to the light and remain energetically connected to the living within 1,000 Remote Spirit Release (RSR) cases.
A total of 85% of all cases contained one or more earthbound spirits, confirming that earthbound attachments represent a major factor in energetic disturbance among clients receiving RSR work.
Interpretation
The prevalence of earthbound presence suggests a strong correlation between unresolved human emotion after death and susceptibility of living individuals to external energetic influence.
Common contributing factors include:
-
Unprotected energetic fields due to trauma or lack of grounding.
-
Vibrational resonance with unhealed grief, fear, or guilt.
-
Environmental influence, such as residual energies in properties or family lineage connections.
Clients with multiple attachments (>5) typically present more complex symptoms such as exhaustion, mood fluctuations, intrusive thoughts, or a sense of being “overshadowed.”
Implications for Practice
These findings validate the necessity of targeted spirit release protocols focusing on safe, ethical detachment and transition of earthbound entities.
Practitioners should:
-
Implement thorough scanning procedures to detect hidden or group attachments.
-
Maintain team-based facilitation (facilitator, medium, guide) to ensure safe and compassionate release.
-
Educate clients in energetic sovereignty, protection, and regular clearing practices to prevent reattachment.
Conclusion
With 8 out of 10 cases showing evidence of earthbound influence, these results reinforce the central role of spirit attachment phenomena in human energetic imbalance.
The data further supports the model that spiritual interference often compounds psychological and emotional distress, and that structured, compassionate release work can restore clarity, vitality, and spiritual integrity.

Figure 6. Sovereignty Levels
This dataset examines the state of personal sovereignty defined as the individual’s energetic autonomy and freedom from external or internal energetic interference across 1,000 Remote Spirit Release (RSR) cases.
Only 28% of cases were recorded as fully sovereign maintaining energetic independence and protection from external interference.
The remaining 72% displayed varying levels of energetic compromise, ranging from minor entity influence to severe deep field entanglement.
Interpretation
Sovereignty represents the core indicator of energetic health within the spirit release model.
Low sovereignty often manifests as:
-
Susceptibility to attachments, thought forms, or energetic parasitism.
-
Difficulty in maintaining emotional regulation, clarity, and decision-making.
-
Reduced capacity for self-healing and spiritual discernment.
The dominance of minor to medium DFE presence (62% combined) indicates that most individuals entering RSR work are functioning below optimal energetic sovereignty, often due to emotional trauma, psychic overwhelm, or lifestyle imbalances.
Implications for Practice
The restoration of sovereignty is the primary therapeutic aim of Remote Spirit Release. Practitioners should:
-
Integrate multi-level clearing addressing both internal and external influences.
-
Support clients in strengthening boundaries, discernment, and grounding through daily practice.
-
Educate on self-sovereignty maintenance via meditation, affirmations, spiritual hygiene, and alignment with higher guidance.
Conclusion
The data confirms that loss of sovereignty is widespread, with less than one-third of individuals maintaining full energetic autonomy.
This underscores the necessity of comprehensive, layered spirit release approaches—not only clearing interference but empowering clients to sustain sovereignty through conscious awareness, emotional healing, and disciplined energetic practice.

Figure 7. Grounding Levels
This dataset evaluates the grounding condition of individuals assessed through Remote Spirit Release (RSR) work measuring the degree of energetic connection between the physical body and the Earth, a key factor in maintaining stability, focus, and protection from energetic interference.
Only 10% of participants demonstrated full, stable grounding.
A combined 90% showed either partial (53%) or absent (37%) grounding indicating widespread energetic imbalance among those seeking spirit release intervention.
Interpretation
Grounding reflects the individual’s ability to anchor consciousness and energy into the physical plane.
Low grounding levels are commonly associated with:
-
Emotional overwhelm or trauma
-
Prolonged spiritual exposure or psychic openness
-
Disassociation or escapism patterns
-
Excessive mental or etheric activity
Energetic disconnection from the Earth often results in instability, fatigue, and increased vulnerability to external energetic influences or attachments. The predominance of partial or missing grounding highlights that most individuals in need of RSR are functioning from an energetically unanchored state.
Implications for Practice
Grounding must be treated as a core therapeutic component within all Spirit Release processes.
Practitioners are advised to:
-
Begin and end each session with grounding protocols for both client and practitioner.
-
Encourage daily grounding practices, such as mindful movement, time in nature, breathwork, or energy visualisation techniques.
-
Recognise that true healing cannot stabilise unless grounding is restored, as energetic clearings remain temporary without physical integration.
Conclusion
The findings confirm that energetic grounding deficiency is nearly universal among clients undergoing Spirit Release Therapy.
Addressing grounding not only enhances energetic protection and emotional balance but also strengthens the individual’s sovereignty and resilience forming the foundation for lasting spiritual and psychological wellbeing.

Figure 8 Thoughtforms & Subs
This dataset examines the presence of self-generated energetic constructs specifically thought forms and subpersonalities, identified during 1,000 Remote Spirit Release (RSR) sessions.
-
Prevalence:
-
64% of cases involved some form of self-created energetic interference.
-
36% of cases presented with no self-created elements, indicating external or environmental causes instead.
-
-
Breakdown:
-
Thought forms only: 28%
-
Subpersonalities only: 12%
-
Combination of thought forms and subpersonalities: 24%
-
None detected: 36%
-
-
Interpretation:
This data suggests that the majority of energetic disturbances originate internally through the individual’s own psyche or energy field. Thought forms—repetitive patterns of emotion or belief given energetic form were notably more prevalent than subpersonalities alone. Cases combining both often indicated deeper layers of unresolved emotional or psychological conflict manifesting energetically. -
Implications for Practice:
These findings reinforce the importance of integrating psychological awareness within spirit release protocols. Practitioners must discern between externally attached energies and self-generated energetic constructs, addressing both through healing, integration, and sovereignty work.

Figure 9. Inner Etheric Field Conditions
Only 7% of all cases presented with a completely clear and balanced inner etheric field. The remaining 93% showed varying degrees of energetic contamination or intrusion.
Interpretation
The inner etheric field functions as an energetic interface between the physical body and higher consciousness. Disturbances within this field are often indicators of:
-
Unresolved emotional trauma or stress (reflected in minor negative energy)
-
Prolonged energetic interference or thoughtform accumulation (seen in medium intrusions)
-
Severe external or entity-based influences (reflected in deep or complex energetic intrusions)
The predominance of medium and severe intrusions (58% combined) suggests that most individuals seeking spirit release intervention were already experiencing significant energetic compromise before treatment.
🌿 Clinical and Spiritual Implications
This data reinforces the necessity of thorough etheric clearing within the Remote Spirit Release process. Restoration of a healthy inner etheric field is directly linked to:
-
Improved emotional stability
-
Stronger grounding and sovereignty
-
Reduced susceptibility to further attachment or interference
Practitioners should prioritise ongoing energetic maintenance, emotional healing, and education in spiritual hygiene practices post-session to maintain etheric clarity.
🧩 Conclusion
The findings reveal that inner etheric imbalance is the norm rather than the exception among those undergoing RSR.
This underlines the crucial role of integrative energy therapy, combining both spirit release and psychological support, to achieve long-term energetic coherence and spiritual resilience.

Figure 10 Patient/Referrer Relationship
This analysis explores the relationship between the client (patient) and the referrer in 1,000 documented Remote Spirit Release (RSR) cases, identifying who initiated the request for clearing or assessment.
-
Distribution of Referrals:
-
Self-referred: 51%
-
Family member referral: 34%
-
Friend referral: 11%
-
Therapist referral: 3%
-
Residence/property cases: 1%
-
-
Interpretation:
Over half of all spirit release interventions were self-initiated, showing a growing awareness and personal responsibility among individuals for their own energetic wellbeing. Family members were the second-largest group of referrers, often seeking help for loved ones perceived as struggling with spiritual or energetic interference. Friend and therapist referrals were less common but still notable, indicating a ripple effect of awareness spreading through social and professional networks. -
Implications for Practice:
The high rate of self-referral highlights a shift in consciousness—individuals increasingly recognise energetic imbalance as a valid cause of distress and proactively seek intervention. Meanwhile, family-initiated cases demonstrate how spiritual disturbances can affect relational systems, motivating collective healing. Practitioners may therefore consider both individual sovereignty and family dynamics when planning intervention and follow-up care.
